Our Annual Children’s Mental Symposium, presented by the Institute of Child Psychology, is dedicated to parents, caregivers, and educators who wish to come together to learn about the latest research, innovations, and techniques pertaining to children’s mental health and attachment-based parenting practices, delivered by children’s mental health professionals and leading experts in the field.

This is the Institute of Child Psychology’s 6th Conference, and we are delighted we are able to bring this event to you from the comfort of your home. This event will bring in thousands of people from every corner of the globe– the majority of whom are parents, caregivers, mental health professionals, and educators.


Dr. Gordon Neufeld is a Vancouver-based developmental psychologist with over 45 years of experience with children and youth and those responsible for them. A foremost authority on child development, Dr. Neufeld is an international speaker, a bestselling author (Hold On To Your Kids) and a leading interpreter of the developmental paradigm.

Dr. Neufeld has a widespread reputation for making sense of complex problems and for opening doors for change. While formerly involved in university teaching and private practice, he now devotes his time to teaching and training others, including educators and helping professionals. His Neufeld Institute is now a world-wide charitable organization devoted to applying developmental science to the task of raising children. Dr. Neufeld appears regularly on radio and television. He is a father of five and a grandfather to six.

These presentations are appropriate for parents, educators, caregivers, child care professionals, and mental health professionals.

Our conference will be offered via Hublio. It is the participant’s responsibility to ensure they have stable internet access.

Participants will be emailed registration links to register into the conference platform workshops 2 weeks prior to the conference (links may be provided sooner). ALL WORKSHOPS ARE RECORDED and available for viewing up to 60 days following the live air date.

Workbooks are not provided for keynote addresses

Conference participation certificates are available to all participants. However, certificates are not granted for keynote addresses

Workshops that are provided are endorsed by the Canadian Counselling & Psychotherapy Association based on content hours. Email our administration team following workshop completion if you require an application to submit.
